Sky Train or BTS
The Sky Train is one of the most convenient ways of getting around Bangkok. The train runs on an elevated platform right on top of some of the busiest roads in the city. Work is under way on extending the BTS network, including a connection to the Airport.
Currently, the BTS network comprises of two lines -
North - East Line - From Mo Chit to On Nut station.
South - West Line - From Saphan Thaksin to National Stadium station.
Passengers can inter connect between the BTS lines at Siam Station. You can also connect to the MRT network at Asoke and Sala Daeng stations.
BTS fares - 15 THB (Min.) and 45 THB (Max.)
An Unlimited ride one day pass can be bought for 120 THB.
BTS Adult Smart Passes valid for 30 days are also available -
- 20 Trips - 440 THB
- 30 Trips - 600 THB
- 40 Trips - 800 THB
BTS Sky smart pass is a stored value card valid for 5 Years. You can store upto 2000 THB on the card.
A one time issuing fee of 30 THB is charged for BTS Sky and Adult Smart Passes.
